Taraak Culture:
Taraak clothing is generally all about utility. Even those not in military dress.
They dress modestly, in drab colors, with an eye towards function rather than form. Hairstyles aren't much different-- Hibiki's
unruly mop is about as original a haircut as you're bound to see.
The Taraak approach to food is as compact and utilitarian
as their approach to most other things. Rather than take the time to carefully prepare proper, balanced meals, the Taraak
favor food in pill form. This sounds boring, because it is. Still, while hardly exciting, the pill foods used by the Taraak
have managed to sustain them well enough.
Taraak cities are generally located deep in fissures. This is probably
because the surface of Taraak is a barren, blasted wasteland-- it's easier to farm, collect moisture, and shelter from storms
in the fissures. The cities tend to feature blocky, low buildings and lots of harsh lighting
Not much is known about
the catastrophe that caused men and women to separate in the colonial days. Not surprisingly, each side is eager to blame
the other. As the Taraak have it (planet Taraak pictured above), women are really fierce, ravenous monsters; they delight
in feasting on the entrails of captured male prisoners, and even talking to them for too long could cause your insides to
rot.
