Story Line
The universe is vast
....but war is enternal.
The state of the galaxy is divied into two societies. The empire
of Tarak, and the empire of Mejale. For nearly three generations, the empires of Tarak and Mejale have been at war with each
other. The two empires were ripped apart by unknown circumstances. As our story begins, the Tarak Empire, long confined to
their homeworld of Tarak, are about to unleash their most magnificent ship yet-- the rebuilt battleship, Ikazuchi!
But
the Tarak face a dire threat indeed: raids and attacks from the Mejale are constant. Space pirates compound the problem. Consequently,
both empires are deadlocked in a state of constant skirmishing, each trying to develop superior technology and gain an edge.
The physical makeup of the Tarak and Mejale empires is unique.
The Tarak is made up entirely of males. Their
first generation, led by the founding patriarch, Grand Pa, formed their civilization after crash-landing the Ikazuchi on the
planet Tarak. Children are vat-grown, using the genetic characteristics of two consenting fathers, and a caste system, which
favors the most direct descendants of the original Ikazuchi crew, is in place.
While the Mejale, conversely, are made
up entirely of females- and they've proven to be wily, calculating, vicious fighters. The few documented appearances of women
depict them as grim, frightening, taloned creatures who swoop out of the night, seize Tarak goods and people for their own
purposes, and devour the innards of their male adversaries. To make matters worse, the fearsome raiders from planet Mejale
who appear to attack the Ikazuchi are not even from the military-- they're pirates!
These two societies are in a stalemate.
